
Kenneth R. Giebel, 77, of rural Fremont, went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2017. He was born February 13, 1940 in Fremont, OH, the son of Herbert and Viola (Wasserman) Giebel who preceded him in death along with an infant daughter, Lori Giebel.
Kenneth graduated in 1959 from St. Joseph High School in Fremont. He worked for Whirlpool Corporation, Clyde Division for thirty-four years as a Process Engineer.
Kenneth was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Fremont and a member of Sandusky County Restorers of Antique Power (S.C.R.A.P.). He enjoyed restoring, exhibiting and pulling his tractors at various events throughout the county. Kenneth raised and showed rabbits most of his adult life. He was especially fond of the Californian rabbits he raised. Kenneth enjoyed camping, gardening and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Marilyn (Fabian) Giebel; his sons Daniel (Terri) Giebel of Clyde, Mark Giebel of Fremont; brother, Thomas (Lynn) Giebel of Tiffin; sisters, Sue (Tom) Stevens of Adrian, MI, Alyce Otte of Fremont; grandchildren, Amanda Giebel of Akron Jacob (Victoria) Giebel of Maumee and his pets Jasmine and Buddy.
No Visitation will take place and a Private Service will be held.
Memorials can be made to S.C.R.A.P. in Kenneth’s name.

Sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. I recognized him from his photo. Been watching the Obits in Ohio and sad to see another cousin has passed. Pleasant childhood memories being at Aunt VI and Uncle Herb’s house and swimming at the Wasserman cottage. .
