
Kay L. Leighton, 67, of Fremont, OH passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her home. She was born September 5, 1949 in Fremont to Albert and Helen (Dodson) Myers.
Kay married Bradley Leighton on July 5, 1979 in Clyde, OH and he survives. She was currently working for Elmwood Assisted Living as a housekeeper. She previously worked for Bethany Place as a housekeeper and for the Fremont City Schools in the cafeteria. Kay enjoyed gardening, tending to her chickens and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Kay is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Bradley Leighton, Fremont, OH; children, Scott Leighton, Oak Harbor, OH, Lisa Horsley, Gibsonburg, OH; brother, Mike (Rose) Myers, Tiffin, OH; grandchildren, Eric and Leighton Horsley, Scottie, Brandon, and Rileigh Leighton; great grandson, Colton Horsley; her beagle, Riggley and her Saint Bernard, Bandit.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son she called Baby Donny.
Visitation: Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Thursday, June 15, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
