
Kathy M. Roob, 53, of Fremont passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 3, 2015. She was born on October 6, 1961 in Sandusky, OH to Norman C. and Virginia L. (Sorg) Young. She was a 1980 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Kathy married Richard “Rick” Roob and he survives. She was a Material Handler and worked for Aeroquip, Style Crest and then Whirlpool Corporation. Kathy loved animals and volunteered at the Humane Society of Sandusky County. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Richard “Rick” Roob, Fremont, OH; son, Justin Young, Walbridge, OH; step children, Aaron Roob, Fremont, OH and Andrea Roob, Toledo, OH; granddaughter, Alexis Young; step grandchildren, Caleb Clark and Zane Trenter; siblings, Nancy Sheets, Fremont, OH, Barbara Black, Gibsonburg, OH, Robin (Melinda) Young, Clyde, OH and Steven (Pamela) Young, Tiffin, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Tammy Druckenmiller.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September, 8, 2015, from 3 – 7 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH.
