Kathryn I. Thompson, 90, of Fremont, OH passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Valley View Healthcare. She was born on June 10, 1927 in Millwood, W.VA to Roy and Inez (Farra) Rhodes.
Kathryn married Guy R. Thompson on June 22, 1946 and he preceded her in death in September 1995. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and reading. Kathryn was a member of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church.
Kathryn is survived by her children, Guy (Joyce) Thompson, Jr, Fremont, OH, Kathryn (Don) Baker, Fremont, OH, Gary (Marsha) Thompson, Clyde, OH; brother, Norman (Janet) Rhodes, Glendale, W.VA; grandchildren, Jay (Susan) Baker, Chad (Susan) Baker, Tim Wilson, Rick, Jeremy and Sherry Jo Thompson; several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Guy R. Thompson; siblings, Margery Rowe, Dorothy Forbes, Yoland Satterfield, Charles, Wayne, Blane, Robert and Ronald Rhodes.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, 1225 Oakwood St., Fremont, OH with Pastor Alan Brown officiating.
Memorials can be made in her honor to the American Heart Association of the American Cancer Society.

My Aunt Irene was such a kind, sweet, gentle soul who I will miss so much! I enjoyed spending time with her at the campground at Forked Run and the many Rhodes Family Reunions she was able to attend! Daddy (Wayne) was so much like she was and I know Aunt Irene helped to take care of him and Uncle Norman after Grandma passed away. She was a very special lady. I am sending love and prayers to all! Heaven gained a special angel!
