
Karen R. Guardiola, 73, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Dekalb Health in Auburn, IN. She was born on October 8, 1944 in Radcliff, OH, the daughter of Wayne and Goldie (Gregory) Cooper. She was a 1962 graduate of Wilton North High School in Wilkesville, OH.
Karen married Sixto Guardiola on November 30, 1973 in Fremont and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2011. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Karen was a Homebase Teacher at WSOS Head Start for ten years. She worked at Great Scott Community Markets from 2000 until 2006 when she retired. Karen enjoyed quilting and working on puzzles.
Karen is survived by her step children, Patricia Guardiola, Margaret (Jose) Ramirez, Ramona Romo, all of Fremont, OH, Sixto (Sherri) Guardiola, LaGrange, OH and Patricia Garcia, Lubbock, TX; niece, Rebecca (Gene) Mullins, Auburn, IN; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sixto Guardiola; sisters, Doris Lowe and Gladys Morris; brother, Olen Cooper; step daughter, Charlene Barrientos.
Visitation: Friday, July 27, 2018, from Noon until 2:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
A Graveside Service will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Fremont.

that old log cabin on the hill. We had good times together. Karen was always so loving and happy.
