I remember “Aunt” Karen as one of our family’s favorites and looked forward to the Shawl Family visits to Pensacola. She was one in a million and lit up any occasion she attended. My heart hurts with y’all.

Dear Shawl Family,
Please accept our sincerest sympathies. I met all of you through Gordie and Jackie Saam. (Gordie was my Mom’s younger brother). I always thought Karen was the prettiest woman … always looked like she stepped out of a fashion magazine! And her personally was just as beautiful. May all the happy memories created together help you through this sorrowful time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
