
June M. Curtin, a resident of Seneca House in Tiffin, OH for the past three years, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 31, 1925 in Clyde, OH to the late Thomas and Elsie (Swartzlander) Tuckerman.
June is survived by her sons, John (Robin) Curtin, Patrick (Roxanna) Curtin, William (Michele) Curtin; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren as well as several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and brother, Wayne (Jean) Tuckerman. She also leaves behind many loving extended family members and friends.
June was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-three years, James P. Curtin; sons, James Jr., Thomas and Timothy; her parents; brothers, John, Kenneth, Raymond, Donald, Robert and Thomas; sisters, Monica (Merle) Claycomb and Wanda (Richard) Robinett; and great grandson, Rian Michael Curtin.
June grew up in Fremont, OH and lived for almost sixty years in the Toledo area. She was a published writer, at one time having a regular column in The Beacon in Oak Harbor, had a degree in Medical Technology and worked for the Ohio Turnpike. June owned and operated Miami House Antiques for several years. She also worked at the A & P grocery story and JC Penney in Fremont. She and her family were avid campers. June treasured her family and showered them all with her love. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation for June will be Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 10:00 am to Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Services will begin immediately after the visitation with Eileen Kleinfelter officiating.
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Fremont.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice Care, 181 E. Perry St., Tiffin, OH 44883.
