When you have anticipation that this day will come; you still don’t have then realization of the impact it has on you. Mrs.Feagins you have no idea how the support and giving you have demonstrated most of your life to the churches the pastors the civic groups and every person who offered the slightest gesture towards you. YOU NEVER missed a birthday or holiday. Sometimes for no reason at all, a card would arrive. You were an amazing woman. Your girls will miss you!

Julia Feagins was my charge nurse at Fremont Memorial Hospital! She was instrumental in making me the best nurse I could possibly be! She was so organized , efficient, and knowledgeable! All the nurses, doctors, staff, and patients loved her! What a legacy at Fremont Memorial Hospital! Julia and Jake threw the best parties for the staff at their establishment! They were so generous and kind to everyone they met!

Mrs Feagins was a profound influence on the practice of nursing at Memorial hospital. She was a wonderful supervisor and mentor to me and to all of us, (Especially those of us on First North!!) She encouraged and guided us in our profession and will be truly missed. God bless her and welcome her home.

Mrs. Feagins was such a roll model at work and in public. She was a very classy lady. God truly has a beautiful angel in heaven.

I meet Ms Ruth through my Aunt Mary Alexander, as she would call and speak to Aunt Mary often after the passing of Uncle Homer Alexander. Ms Ruth was a very kind and compassionate person. Her soft spoken voice will be missed.

I had the wonderful honor of meeting and working with Mrs. Feagins as she assisted her nephew in his construction business. I looked forward to the many visits we had and when entering their home, I was always in awe of her life and career. My husband was also in the military, so the stories she told me blew me away. She was humble, but would graciously tell me stories of her life, her love, her career and her faith. She was an amazing worker. She stayed in my heart all these years and this afternoon, my husband and I were driving to Fremont and as we passed the road she lived on, I looked her up and saw she passed. God blessed me greatly in knowing her. Again, it was an honor to know her and I look forward to seeing her again with Jesus.

Aunt Ruth was a God Gifted woman, as well as being God’s gift to this world. Her many gifts and good works will always be remembered. She went out of her way to find and help those in need. She helped me and my family many times and would not accept thanks or gifts in return. She was wise and liberal with her advice and willingness to be there for her family and acquaintances. Thoughtful and kind she was a leader and example among women. I dearly loved my Aunt Ruth and I miss her so much.

I never met Julia and only knew her through her kind and newsy letters and phone calls. Even so, she sent me checks from time to time to help with expenses and so that I would ” take care of me” while I also took care of her nephew, Gordon. He is disappointed that we could not get to her funeral, however his throat cancer has us staying close to doctors and his support system. I will always be grateful to her for her encouragement and financial help which always seemed to arrive at the most needed times. She was a rare lady, one who we can all look up too as an example of how we should all be living. Thank you Julia, for your Service to our country and your many kindnesses to us all.

Hello,
First and foremost, please let me start by saying, I am so sorry for your loss. My brother bought a military trunk with Julia’s name and rank on it near Fremont, Ohio. He has given it to me as he is on the waiting list for the Veteran’s home in Sandusky, Ohio. I took the trunk to a locksmith to have it opened and inside was a beautiful picture of her, along with some love letters from Jake, certificates, ribbons and medals that I would LOVE to get back to the family. It’s not much but to me, it would mean everything if the family could have these beautiful items. I do genealogy for our family and would want someone to make every effort to get them to me. My phone number is 740-858-5791, email is Blantonkaren63@gmail.com and I am on Facebook under Karen Ferguson Blanton, please send me a private message. My address is 2902 State Route 125 West Portsmouth, Ohio 45663. Thank you and God Bless your family!
