
Jozef Chlosta, 76, of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully in God’s loving arms Thursday afternoon at his home. He was born on April 29, 1938 in Zadusniki, Poland to John and Katarzyna Krepa.
Jozef married Maria Kmuk on September 8, 1962 and she survives. He worked at Carbo Tool & Die, Atlas Industries, and retired from H.J. Heinz Company in 2000. Jozef was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Fremont Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and sharing stories with his grandchildren.
Jozef is survived by his wife of fifty-two years Maria Chlosta, Fremont; daughters, Wanda Chlosta, Columbus, OH, Anna (Eric) Halbisen, Hilliard, OH and Teresa (John) Pierce, Indianapolis, IN; sister-n-law, Cecylia Chlosta, Fremont, OH and Josephine Chlosta of Poland and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers, Stanley and Wladyslaw Chlosta.
Visitation: Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, November 24, 2014, 11:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, with Fr. Kenneth Lill officiating.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
Memorials: Hospice of Promedica Memorial Hospital or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
