I am so sorry to hear the news of Josh’s passing. As young kids, Spencer and Josh spent so much time together, I looked at Josh as the brother Spencer never had. Josh had such a good heart, was always very polite and had a great laugh. He will be missed.

I do not share my inner thoughts and feelings with strangers but Josh insisted I always be real, be honest with myself. This is how I will begin to let go. There are so many things that went unsaid between both you and I. The love I felt for you came by suprise to me, something I couldn’t control. I tried. We were friends but so much more. The prayers I’ve said over the years, the tears I’ve cried, the words I’ve spoke. Your confidence, love, joy radiated so brightly. We literally hung out once as adults. In that moment I knew that I’d always loved you. Our laughs, never lost friendship, the closeness we’d shared that could never be put into words. The years between us didnt matter. We always reconnected. In your last days I saw a light in you that I had never saw before, it was reassuring but then it was gone. You were here. Then gone. So many people loved you, as you loved them too. Some lives will be changed forever in your wake. I hope everyone touched by you can forgive and just remember the love you had for them. May they know that you’re resting now. Have faith that God knew what was best, me included. May we take away lessons from this pain. To squeeze our babies tighter, forgive, love unconditionally, never hold back the love we have even when others dont understand, and know that we all have struggles and many of which many know nothing about.

Thank you Joshua for everything you’ve given me, you will hold a part of my heart.
