
Joseph “Joe” N. Wojdyla, 71, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Bethesda Care Center. He was born on December 30, 1943 in Fremont, the son of Joseph P. and Mildred (VanNess) Wojdyla. He was a 1963 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Joe served in the Ohio National Guard for four years. He married Darlene L. Frey on July 23, 1977 at Grace Lutheran Church and she survives.
Joe worked as a Sprayer in the Porcelain Department at Whirlpool Corporation for forty years and retired in 2004. He was a former member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, VFW and Muzzle Loaders in Gibsonburg, OH. Joe had Corvettes all his life. He enjoyed muzzles and making Indian clothing. He also built his own T-Bucket and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Darlene L. Wojdyla, Fremont, OH; daughter, Dawn (Ben) Williams, Pickerington, OH; brothers, John and Jim Wojdyla both of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Tyler and Emalee Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Denny and Dorrin Wojdyla.
Visitation: Tuesday from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Celebrant Maureen Pump officiating.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH.
