
John C. Selvey, 60, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH. He was born August 6, 1962 in Norwalk, OH to Stanley M. And Evelyn E. (Brooker) Selvey. John was a graduate of Vangard Vocational High School studying in horticulture. John worked at Sandco Industries in Fremont in golf course maintenance and various other trades. He loved animals, especially his pet guinea pig, Chica. He enjoyed working with plants and most recently planted flowers at Bethesda Care Center where he was residing.
John is survived by his brothers, Norman (Cathy) Selvey, Fremont, OH and Clay (Julie) Selvey Millbury, OH; sister, Rebecca (Gary) Peters, Centerville, OH; nephews, Ben Selvey, Andrew (Megan) Peters and Matthew (Sarah) Peters; nieces, Alison (Michael) Derringer and Emma (Grant) Trudel.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Zandra Sue Selvey.
A private graveside service will take place at Green Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Bethesda Care Center.

John was a client of mine at STEPS Day program. After he left the program and went to Bethesda care center we would drop off gifts for him from time to time. The last was a wolf blanket as we knew his love for animals.
We will forever miss his gentle heart and his sense of humor.
