John “Bud” L. Newman, Jr., 82, of Fremont, OH, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 surrounded by his family at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. He was born on December 15, 1934 in Portsmouth, OH to John L. and Martha (Truitt) Newman, Sr.

Bud married Barbara Kyle on September 18, 1965 in Port Clinton, OH and she survives. He worked for Standard Products in Port Clinton, OH for thirty-two years until they closed. He was a member of Family Worship Center where he served as an Elder for twenty-two years and on the worship team. Bud was an excellent musician and enjoyed playing the guitar, wood working and spending time with his grandchildren. Bud was known for his witty sense of humor.

Bud is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Barbara Newman, Fremont, OH; children, Debra (Scott) Cecil, Oak Harbor, OH, Timothy Newman, Sr. and Deanna (Ken) Autry, both of Fremont, OH; sister, Betty Newman, Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Timothy Newman, Jr, Stephanie Keck, Courtney Autry and Ben Autry; great grandchildren, Lani Newman, Spencer Keck, Cayden Keck and Veada Newman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Juanita Sharp, Wanda Jean Bowen and two infant sisters.

Visitation: Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.

A Home Going Celebration Service will take place on Thursday, March 9, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at Family Worship Center, 120 E. State St. with Bishop Gary Clowers officiating.

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH

    Aunt Betty I’m so sorry to hear of buds passing he was such a good man always smiling and always having a good time may god bless you through this difficult time I love you so much and I will keep you and the family in my heart and prayers love you and keep your chin up
