
Jesus “Jessie” Rodriguez, 74, of Fremont, OH passed away on October 26, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH. He was born on June 30, 1947 in Progreso, Texas, the son of Nieves and Maria (Cantu) Rodriguez. Jessie married Jean Suter on March 22, 1984 in Fremont, OH and she survives. Jessie had worked for various farmers in the area before becoming a mechanic at Fritz Meyer Garage. He then worked for many years as an operator at MGQ until he retired in 2011. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping and traveling. Jessie was known for always helping people.
Jessie is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Jean Rodriguez, Fremont; son, Jessie (Amy Anderson) Rodriguez, Jr., Shelton, CT; grandchildren, Olivia, Nora and Benjamin Rodriguez; siblings, Margarito (Maria) Rodriguez, Progreso, TX and Connie (Frank) Ysasi, Lake City, SC and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Gilbert Rodriguez, Maria del Carmen Rodriguez, Ricardita Rodriguez and Juanita Rodriguez.
Visitation: Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
A celebration of life ceremony will follow at 7:00 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice.
