Janice Marie Snider, 75, formerly of Akron, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 24, 1948 in Akron, OH to Lloyd and Ruby (Donahue) Trenter. Janice married Gerald “Jerry” Snider on November 23, 1971 in Akron, OH and he preceded her on March 2, 2013. Janice enjoyed reading, bird watching, taking day trips with her family and attending family gatherings that involved food. She loved her dog, Furby and her favorite color was purple. Janice had a unique sense of humor that will be greatly missed.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Jill Snider, Green Springs, OH; sister, Marian (Steve) Wright, Fremont, OH and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; son, Joe and brothers, Albert and Jeff Trenter.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 5 to 7 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH 43420, with a vigil at 6:30 pm.

A private burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery, Akron, OH.

Memorials can be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
