
James U. Reardon, 78 of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by his family at ProMedica Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 14, 2018. He was born in Fremont, OH to Charles H. and Marcella “Sally” (Meyer) Reardon. Jim was a 1958 graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Jim married Marcia Sevitts on February 13, 1965 at St. Ann Catholic Church and she survives. Jim worked for Spieldenner Carpet One in the carpet and drapery department and then retired after thirty-eight years of service in 2004 as a salesman. Following retirement, Jim went to work for Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory as a funeral attendant and retired in 2012. Jim was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the Eagles, VFW, a fifty year member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was a past Grand Knight and the Elks where he was a past Exalted Ruler. Jim enjoyed fishing and gardening and will always be remembered for his stories and sense of humor.
Jim is survived by his wife, Marcia Reardon, children, Jacqueline (David) Growel, Charles Reardon, Rebecca (Jon) Long, all of Fremont, OH, Bart (Carla) Reardon, Rocky River, OH, Patrick Reardon, Fremont, OH, siblings, Daniel (Delores) Reardon, Nancy (Dick) Esker, Ronald (Sue) Reardon, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1021 W State St, Fremont, OH 43420.
Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 10:00 am at the church with Fr. Nick Weibl officiating.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials can be made in Jim’s honor to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, St. Ann Catholic Church or ProMedica Memorial Hospice.
