
James “Jim” L. Ohms, 84, of Fremont, OH passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Randall Residence. He was born on October 17, 1938 in Fremont to Lester R. and Helen L. (Schacht) Ohms. He was a 1957 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Jim married Beatrice A. Logan on August 1, 1959. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963 and was awarded a Letter of Appreciation; Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle M-14) and Good Conduct Medal. Jim was a lifelong farmer. He also worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator for forty years. Jim enjoyed watching football and tinkering with farm equipment.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Beatrice A. Ohms, Fremont, OH; children, Paul Ohms, Jeannette (Brian) Voelzke, James (Cindy) Ohms and Jeffrey (Lori) Ohms; siblings, David (Connie) Ohms, Evelyn Swinehart and Norma Nesbitt, all of Fremont, OH, Arlene Jones, Fostoria, OH and Edith Smith, Holland, OH; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond, Robert, Donald L. Sr., Kenneth Ohms and an infant brother and sister, Dorothy Ohms.
There are no services at this time.
