Jim Framstad was one of the kindest, most loving men I have ever known. He was always friendly, thoughtful, and generously caring. His attention to the needs of people was evident in the way he looked and listened to others. His musical gifts and sense of humor were ready to lift every heart. The quality I most admired was his deep commitment to his family. I thank God and Carlynn for sharing Jim with me during his later years. The angelic sound of those old hymns coming from Jim’s beautiful voice will be a cherished memory.

I never meet this couple, but set in motion Heartland Hospice that help Carlynn in their journey with FTD Dementia. My wife also had this horrific dementia, and with Covid-19 never got to meet the family, but had the opportunity to share life experiences through our support group phone share.
Respectfully: Larry S. Lundy, Husband/caregiver.

Fondly remembering Jim smiling and stopping me every Sunday to tell me that my red hair reminded him of his sisters. He never failed to tell me that. I loved it and it warmed my heart. As I would see him approaching me in the hall or in the sanctuary, I knew exactly what he was about to say by the smile on his face. It was precious to me. Your family will remain in our prayers,
Love, Heather Pocock and family

Jim had to have incredible compassion to the people who’s lives he touched playing music, knowing he could be one of them at some point. He is blessed by his son’s, and loved by his wife, his family and friends.

Dear Family , I played horn with Jim in Terra Brass and found him to be a sweet guy who always had something nice to say and was always happy to be there. He kept saying I reminded him of his sister and told me what instruments they all played. The ending of the video is just heartbreaking. But I see the love of his family over the years through the video and his everlasting smile. I’m sure he is missed by all, and I was saddened to hear of his death. I’m sure he is playing in the band in Heaven with our co-musician Tom Hetzel who passed last year. God Bless
