My deepest condolences to the family of Jim Reardon. I met Jim in 1979 when I joined the Heinz management team at the Fremont plant working in QA. Jim was a no nonsense, well organized, natural leader who taught me much about how to conduct myself in my professional life. Over the next 40 years working in the food industry, I never met a better warehouse/logistics manager anywhere, period. On top of that, he had a wonderful sense of humor with great timing who seemed to know when a situation needed some levity. He truly represented what we refer to as the “greatest generation” of our country and I consider having met and worked with Jim one of the highlights of my life. May he rest in peace and I am sure he is happy to be with Donna once again.

So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I and my sister’s (Linda and Diana) have fond memories of Jim and the rest of the Reardon family as we grew up next door. You may remember us as the family with the Boston Terriers (bull dogs). Please know that our hearts go out to all of the family as we remember Jim in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks for including Jim’s interview about his service in the Navy during WWII.

To my Jim Reardon cousins,
Joan called me a few days ago to tell me of the passing of your Dad. I was so sorry to hear about losing Uncle Jim. He was always a favorite uncle and very kind to myself and my family. You were all very blessed to have him for so many years but I know that doesn’t make the loss any easier. May God comfort you and give you peace during this time.
Love, Mark and Barb

I knew Jim from his time at Bethany Place in Fremont. He was a table mate of my mother whom she thought of very highly. I grew to know and appreciate Jim and visited even after my mom passed away. He was a great conversationalist and with whom I had the pleasure to talk. I moved to another state and kept in touch until recently.
May God bless the family, his sister at Lakeview and all his large extended family. He spoke of you often and loved you.
