James Bryan Stiefel

James Bryan Stiefel, 68, of Clyde, OH passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 6, 1947 in Bucyrus, OH, the son of Kenneth Leroy and Dorothy (Virtue) Stiefel. He was a 1966 graduate of Port Clinton High School.

Jim served in the Ohio National Guard. He married Lorraine “Lorrie” M. (Good) Stiefel on August 18, 1969 in Elkhart, IN and she preceded him in death on July 6, 2006.

Jim was a Car Man at Norfolk; Southern Railroad Yard in Bellevue and retired after thirty years of service. He loved baseball and was a Cleveland and O.S.U. fan. He also loved taking care of his lawn, socializing and his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his children, Corie (Bob) Wagner, Navarre, FL and Shawn (Steph) Stiefel, Green Springs, OH; siblings, Sheila Bowman, Dublin, OH, Jackie Hugli, Mary Ester, FL, Sharren Lucas, Lakeside, Marblehead, OH, Carolyn Ambrozy, Port Clinton, OH, John Stiefel, Monroe, MI, Richard Stiefel, Port Clinton, OH and Thomas Stiefel, Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Samantha, Amanda, Paige, Ashlee, Alex, Mya and Trent.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine M. Stiefel; siblings, Nancy Malone and Robert Stiefel.

Visitation: Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.

Service: Wednesday, August, 12, 2015; 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
