James A. Craver

James “Jim” A. Craver, 74, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2022, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.  He was born April 8, 1947, in Tiffin, OH to George and Helen (Rex) Craver.  Jim married Irene Overmyer on April 20, 1974, in Lindsey, OH and she survives.  He worked at Rexam in Fremont, OH as a maintainer.  Prior to that he was a truck driver and worked in construction.  Jim was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and enjoyed traveling.  He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavs.  He loved spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Irene Craver; fur baby, Willie; honorary children/nieces and nephews: Paul (Amy) Overmyer of Fremont, OH; Tabetha (Sergio) Valentin of Monclova, OH; Babette (Wesley) Lenhart of Fremont, OH; Enchantra Ritenour of Milan, MI; Howard Overmyer, Jr. of Toledo, OH; additional nieces and nephews include; Sarah Overmyer of Oregon, OH; Chelsea (Brandon) Brazeau of Maumee, OH; Deliverance (Andrea) Farrell of Sylvania, OH; step-nieces, Jennifer (David) Friddell, Angela (Joseph) Box and step-nephew Jeffrey Kott; grandchildren, Heavenli, Jace, Braxton Overmyer and MaKayla; sister-in-law, Polly (Howard Jones II) Overmyer of Fremont, OH; brother-in-law, Howard (Mary) Overmyer, Sr. of Metamora, OH; cousin, Terry Scherf and several great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.

Visitation:  Sunday March 13, 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH 43420

Services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the Humane Society of Sandusky County.
