Herman L. Stacy

Herman L. Stacy, 86, of Fremont, OH passed away, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1935 in Jamboree, KY, the son of William Anderson and Nelly (Wolford) Stacy.

Herman married Dorothy Louise Moreland on January 13, 1956 in Logan County, WV. He worked seasonally at Great Western Sugar Company for twenty years until 1976. Herman also worked at Wilson Cabinet Company for eighteen years and retired in 1981. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.

Herman is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Dorothy L. Stacy, Fremont, OH; children, Patricia A. (Ron) Young, Fremont, OH, Emmagene (Jeff) Hackenburg, Clyde, OH and Robert L. Stacy, Put-in-Bay, OH; siblings, Martha Dodson of Kentucky, Virginia Page (Fred) Shouse of Michigan, Tracy (Shirley) Stacy, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Ron, Scott (Ashley) and Laura Young, Diana (Jesse Freedman), Aaron (Kayla Geyer) and Adam Hackenburg, Angela (Joshua) Pocock, Matthew, Morgan, Marshall and McKenna Stacy and Destiney (Randy) Langston; nine great grandchildren and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Judith Black; siblings, Thurman Stacy, Vivian Lucas, Juanita Fry, Donald Stacy, Jimmy Stacy, Walter Sheets and Carl Stacy.

Private graveside service will take place at a later date at Green Springs Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
