Henry L. Bailey

Henry L. Bailey, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Countryside Manor.  He was born on May 20, 1934 in Brazil, MS to Osby and Willie Mae (Mathis) Bailey.   Henry was a machine operator at Kelsey Hayes/Kingsway Plant for thirteen years and retired in 1990.  He had previously worked at Chrysler in Fostoria, OH and American Standard in Tiffin, OH.  He was a very spiritual man and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years.  Henry had an affection for cars and was always well dressed and loved his Stacy Adams shoes.  He enjoyed singing and had a great sense of humor.

Henry leaves to cherish his memories his son, Edward Charles (Francine) Bailey of St. Louis, MO, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

“Miss Me, But Let Me Go”

Now that I’ve come to the end of the road,

And the sun has set for me

I want no part in a gloom filled room,

Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not for long

And not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love that we once shared,

Miss Me, But Let me Go

It’s all a part of the Master’s plan,

A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart

Go to the friends we know

And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds,

Miss Me, But Let me Go

The family would like to thank all of Henry’s friends and caregivers for their works of kindness and we pray that the Lord would pour them out a blessing that they would not have room to receive.
