
Helen Marie Ivy, 93, of Fremont, OH passed away at her home on Friday, May 5, 2023. Helen was born on May 13, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA to Edger Thomas Turley and Martha Ann (Aldrich) Miller. Helen married Clyde Ivy on May 31, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 12, 1999.
Helen worked as a cook for Fremont City Schools for thirty years until she retired. She also was a waitress for various restaurants. Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Women of the Moose, VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary and POW survivors group. Helen enjoyed square dancing, flower gardening, plate and figurine collecting.
Helen is survived by her children; Scott (Karol) Ivy, John (AJ McGee) Ivy, both of Fremont, OH, grandchildren; Jillian (Brandon) Heberling, Waterford, MI, Kelsey (Kyle Mange) Ivy, Clyde, OH, Kaley (AJ) Steyer, Green Springs, OH, Jamy Ivy, Fremont, OH, Fred Ivy, Clyde, OH and Alysia (Brian) Runkle, Clyde, OH, great-grandchildren; Cole, Ashlyne, Caden, Chloe and Grayson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; Clyde Ivy, daughters Tanya and Dreamalee Ivy, sister; Betty Kollman, brother; Edgar Turley.
Helen donated her body to the University of Toledo Medical Center.
