#2 Condolence By John F. Shiets On April 21, 2018 @ 2:53 pm

I taught at Fremont Junior High, as it was known then, and was always happy to see Hazel in the hallways or after school cleaning my room at the end of the day. Hazel was one of the most friendly and cheerful ladies that could be found doing what had to be done to keep the Fremont Junior High not only welcoming to the many students who walked the halls but a safe and clean facility. Her job was not an easy job considering the age of the building and the many areas of high maintenance. Through the problems of reconstruction and hours spent just doing what had to be done she always had a smile and friendly greeting for those who took the time to say “Hello and thank you for all you do.” Hazel was always busy but never too busy to be pleasant. While we will miss her the saints will great her with open arms.
John F. Shiets, retired science/math teacher Fremont Middle School
