Harland “Harley” D. Green, 79 of Fremont, OH went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 22, 2014. He was born on July 12, 1934 in Riley Township to Marmont and Odessa (Long) Green, Sr.
Harley married Marie Frazier on May 15, 1970 at Clyde Missionary Baptist Church and she survives. He worked at MGQ Aggregates in Old Fort, OH as a supervisor and truck operator for twenty-two years until he retired in October of 2009.
Harley was a member of Fremont Baptist Temple. He was a devoted husband, father and loved to spend time with his grandson. He cherished playtime with his grandson Matthew, activities at church, travelling, the outdoors, hunting and gardening.
Harley is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years Marie Green; sons, James (Lori) Green and Kevin Green all of Fremont; grandson, Matthew Green; siblings, Leland, Raymond and Delmar Green, Mary Kutzli, Lillian Easterwood and Veda Curry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, James Green, Beulah Harrison, Marmont Green, Jr., Melvin Green and Shirley Green.
Visitation: Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Friday, April 25, 2014; 11:00 a.m. at Fremont Baptist Temple, 1150 CR 198, Fremont, OH with an hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Pastor Gary Click will be officiating.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
