Guadalupe H. Chavez

Guadalupe H. Chavez, 89, Formerly of Elmore, OH passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont, OH. He was born on May 1, 1923 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Graviel Chavez and Virginia Hernandez.

Guadalupe married Carolina A. Avalos in 1959 in Weslaco, TX and she survives. He worked at Pfizer for thirteen years and retired in 1983. Guadalupe was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved to do home repairs around the house, gardening and yard work.

Guadalupe is survived by his wife, Carolina A. Chavez, Fremont, OH; children, Guadalupe (Bill) Below, Marta (Jose Arreola) Chavez both of Fremont, OH; Rafael (Belinda) Chavez, Woodville, OH, Roberto (Monica) Chavez, Elmore, OH, Juan M. (Columbia) Chavez, Fremont, OH, Graviel (Sara) Chavez, Elmore, OH, Jesus Chavez, Fremont, OH; twenty grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Virginia Chavez and grandson, Guadalupe Jose Ysasi Chavez.

Visitation: Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Vigil at 7:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Service: Thursday, March 28, 2013, 10:30 am at the funeral home with Deacon Alfredo Diaz officiating.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH
