Gladys Irene McGuire, 85, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Valley View Healthcare Center. She was born on October 12, 1929 in Lodi, OH, the daughter of Emery and Pearl M. (Brown) Hoover. She attended Thompson School.
Gladys married Robert E. McGuire on April 4, 1949 in Ft. Wayne, IN and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2010. Gladys was a waitress at the Hotel Fremont until her retirement.
Gladys is survived by her son, Michael E. (Paula) McGuire of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Natasha (Joseph) Fisher and Brendan (Boyun Woo) McGuire; siblings, Melvin Hoover of Southern Pines, NC, Mary Ellen Baker of Walnut Creek, OH and Jeannette Love of Fremont, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert E. McGuire, son, David Lee McGuire; siblings, Alice, Dena, Clara, Loretta, Betty, Myron and Emery.
There will be no services.
A private burial will take place at St. Ann Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of ProMedica Memorial Hospital, 430 S. Main St, Clyde, OH 43420.
