
Gilberto F. Perez, 79, of Fremont, OH passed away on February 2, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Fremont, OH. He was born on May 5, 1941 in Laredo, TX the son of Juan A. and Jesusa (Flores) Perez. He was a 1959 graduate of Woodville High School and attended Bowling Green State University. Gilbert married Carol Koke on February 5, 1977 in Sandusky and she survives. He worked at Ford Motor Co in Sandusky for forty years until he retired on March 1, 2004. He was a member of Grace Community Church and Bellevue Eagles. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping, traveling and was a Park Ranger at Put-in-Bay.
Gilbert is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Carol Perez, Fremont, OH; children, Gloria (Rodney)Lucio, Alabama, Gilbert (Stella) Perez II, Wisconsin, Esther (Jimmy) Shroyer, Bowling Green, Andres Perez and John Perez both of Fremont; stepchildren, Troy (Angela) Deanda, Gibsonburg and Mark Deanda, Clyde; siblings, Rebecca Rodriguez, Woodville, OH, and Hilda (Manuel) Ecobar, Woodville, seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ricardo Perez, John Perez, Armando Perez.
A memorial service will take place on April 24, 2021 at Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH. A time will be announced closer to the date.
