Bill, Cindi, Mary, and all;
How can I even begin to tell you how deeply saddened I am for you all? Your mom was more than just a friend in a lifetime of friends, she was a cornerstone of all that I am, in so many ways. As I look back over my own life, from our earliest beginnings, she was a 2nd mother to me, and even more than that! Your mom’s support of my mom, and my family in general, is paramount in my mind, and always will be. She was ALWAYS there, with sincere love and affection, and even honest disappointment whenever it was necessary for her to convey, of which I appreciate from very few, but so very welcome from your mom.
I’m sure the three of you know of things within my mom’s life, and even my own, that are unknown to others outside of both of our families. I just cannot convey what your mom meant to me, not only as the best friend my mother ever had, but also as someone who was so very important in my life, even in my adult life, and even after memories begin to fade, and time creates distance. She will forever be in my heart. I wish I could be there to pay my respects in person, if there was ever someone that I feel I should, it’s your mom. I’m afraid though, time does not permit.
Mary, although miles and time, and “life” in general, have gotten between us, please know that I am with you 100%. You are my oldest, and even dearest friend in the world. Please know, if there is ever, ever anything that I can do, I will do as you wish.
Love to you all, and love to Gerri; “Mrs. Lehan”. The world will miss you!
