George “Butch” Mullen, Jr.

George “Butch” Mullen, Jr., 72, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH. He was born July 16, 1941 in Fremont, the son of George and Mattie (Page) Mullen, Sr.

George attended School of Hope and later worked at Sandco Industires.
He then was a Janitor for the Sandusky County Board of D.D. and retired after thirty-eight years of service. He was a very active member of Ebenezer Church of God in Christ where he served on the State Usher Board and sang in the Choir. He was also a member of the Christian Men’s Association. George served on the Council for the Developmentally Disabled of Sandusky County and chaperoned their dances. He was very involved with School of Hope and Sandco Industries. George loved to ride his bike. He touched many lives in the community and will be greatly missed by all.

George is survived by his sisters, Christine Jones, Fremont, OH, Phyllis Mullen, Cleveland; brother, John Mullen, Los Angeles, CA; nephew, Sam Lindsey, Fremont, OH; nieces, Jackie Mullen, Stacey Mullen both of Toledo, OH and Chari Mullen, Fremont, OH. Special to him were Pastor C.J. and Delores Burel and Charles Glover.

He was preceded in death by his parents and twin infant sibling.
