To Corine, Heather, Melanie, Cheryl and family…
I am so sorry for you loss…and feel so blessed that I was able to be a small part of George’s life. My love and admiration for him are un-measurable. He was truly like a father to me and my happiest years working at Scioto Valley were with George. He and I shared stories daily of our families…be it about our kids or our parents, we watched them grow together. George made me feel like I was part of his family….always. And not only me….but my kids and husband. He shared a birthday with my son Kyle…and took him to lunch on his birthday for years. He offered his condo, on his beloved Tybee Island, to my husband Glen and me….because we were family. He was a kind…dear soul…that I loved like a dad. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers…and I send my love to each of you.

I have many fond memories of our days roaming the south end of Gibsonburg with such pals as Greg Gerwin, Hal Leow, Larry
Leow, and Neal Hodinot. We would play Army for hours until Moms called us in for lunch. George was “Sarge” and we attacked
the enemy on the “hill” (now Lutheran Church) or the “ditch” (still a ditch).

I am sorry to know of George’s passing. I really enjoyed talking with him over the past couple of years in regards to the ZIckefoose family tree. He was a real gem to talk to. I am glad I got to come pay my respects and to meet my distant cousin, Corine. My deepest sympathies come also from my family. God bless you all and keep you in peace during this time.
