
Gailya “Gail” Gill, 85, of Fremont, OH passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 3, 1935 in Dallas, TX to William “Buck” and Hazel (Woods) Davis. Gail married Philip Gill and they spent close to fifty years together. She was an executive secretary at Bearing & Chain in Dallas, TX along with Braniff Airlines. She was then in the lab at Great Lakes Sugar Company in Fremont until she retired.
Gail was a true Texan where her heart stayed even after moving to Fremont. She attended Grace Community Church and loved fishing, traveling and spending time with her friends and family and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Gail had a heart for others and was loved by anyone who knew her.
Gail is survived by her husband, Philip Gill, Fremont, OH; children, Randy (Sherry) Davis, Kingwood, TX and Christie (Steve) Tornow, Clyde, OH; grandchildren, Brandon (Lisa) Davis, Josh Davis, Samantha (Zach Kilgore) Tornow, Zach (Alyssa Farrier) Tornow; three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wanda Thompson.
Visitation: Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 5:00 – 6:00 pm at Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH.
Services will begin at 6:00 pm at the church with Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer officiating.
Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice.
