Florene Y. Slatter

Florene Yvonne Slatter, 88, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Elmwood Skilled Nursing of Fremont. She was born on February 6, 1930 in Fremont to Floyd R. and Mary E. (Small) Slatter, Sr. She attended Schoch school and graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1947.

Florene worked in the accounting department of the Howard Zink Corporation for twenty years and retired from the accounting department of Moore Business Forms after twenty-three years.

She was member of Trinity United Methodist Church-Fremont and the Rainbow Circle. Florene served on various boards and committees and was a volunteer at Share and Care. She enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling.

Florene is survived by nephews, Steven Slatter, Joseph Slatter and niece, Amy Slatter; great nephews, Patrick and Erik and great niece, Emma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Floyd R. Slatter, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018; 1:30 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH. The family will greet people from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.

Memorials can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church-Fremont, the American Heart Association or Donor’s Choice.

Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery
