
Evelene “Sister” Hare, 75, of Fremont OH passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on September 3, 1943 in Paulding, MS, the daughter of LeRoy and Hester Mae (Lindsey) Hare. She attended Bay Spring High School in Mississippi.
Evelene loved attending the First Baptist Missionary Church where she enjoyed serving as an usher. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and spending time with her family and friends. Evelene had a great since of humor. Despite having cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy, Sister never complained about her disabilities. She loved the Lord.
Evelene is survived by her cousins and their families, Deborah Walker and Julie Walker both of Fremont, OH, Mary Scott, Columbus, OH, Mattie Brown, Fremont, OH, Eddie Lindsey, Fremont, OH; aunt, Lenore Jones of Mississippi and a host of many other cousins; special friends Georgia Woodson and James Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts, Louise Walker, Mattie Hare, Willie Ann Biddie Hare; uncles, Jimmy Arthur, Sr., Andrew William, Kenneth C. Sr., and James C. Hare.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, from 11:00 am until Noon at First Baptist Missionary Church, 1697 Dickinson St, Fremont, OH.
Services will begin at Noon at the church with Rev. William Holmes officiating.
Memorials can be made to the family.
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH at a later date.

To my family I am praying for you. As a child I will always remember Sister when visiting Big Momma. She taught me to be tolerant of people with different than myself. Witnessing Sister I learned to never let any weakness stop me from trying. Although, It was hard for me to understand or communicate with Sister. She taught me to be patient and focus on listening.
