Ethel E. Kirsch

Kirsch Ethel E.

Ethel E. Kirsch, 78, of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by her family on March 3, 2016 at Pristine Senior Living of Fremont. She was born on August 30, 1937 in Green Creek Twp, the daughter of Russel and Augusta “Helen” (Warenment) Homler.

Ethel married Clair Kirsch, Jr. on November 14, 1959 at St. Michael’s Church in Gibsonburg and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1988. Ethel was a Homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, babysitting for her family and neighbors, cooking, going to garage sales and spending time with her family.

Ethel is survived by her children, Clair “Butch” (Julie) Kirsch, III, Temperance, MI, Brenda Teeters of Virginia, Teresa (Joe) Kozak, Fremont, OH, Lisa (Joe) Burkin, Clyde, OH, Scott (Jackie) Kirsch of Tennessee; sisters, Donna Weiker and Barbara Estep both of Fremont, OH, Beverly Fox, Jackson, OH; grandchildren, Zach, Kristen and Benjamin Kirsch, Sara Johnson, Tabatha and Ryan Zilles, Josh Smith, Adam Kozak, Courtney McGrath, Shawnelle Turner, Michael Burkin, Kassy Miller and eleven great grandchildren with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clair Kirsch, Jr.; siblings, Lloyd “Baldy” Homler, Mildred Krassow, Beulah “Boots” Turner, Bernice Swenty, Lamar “Skip” Homler, Jim Homler, Betty Cherry, Norma Frey, two infant sisters and one infant brother.

Visitation: Sunday from 5 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.

Service: Monday, March 7, 2016, 11:00 am at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service.

Burial: St. Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg, OH.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to ProMedica Memorial Hospice or to the family.
