
Erika A. Slayter, 88, of Fremont, OH passed away Friday, August 05, 2016 at Valley View Health Care Center. She was born August 16, 1927 in Vilseck, Germany to Jacob and Anna (Glaser) Muhlbauer.
Erika married Richard R. Slayter on August 27, 1948 in Wurzburg, Germany and he preceded her in death on October 31, 1979. She worked for Copeland Manufacturing for ten years retiring in 1983. Erika was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria, OH. She enjoyed watching old movies, doing crafts and gardening.
Erika is survived by her children, Terry R. (Nancy) Slayter, Williamsburg, VA, Antra G. (Gary) Jackson, Fremont, OH; sister, Gabrielle (William) Scott, Fostoria, OH; grandchildren, Ryan (Natalie) Steinert, Ian Steinert; great grandchildren, Kate, Lauren, Jack and Will and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard R. Slayter and brother, Walter (Annalisa) Muhlbauer.
Services will be held private for the family.

So sorry for your loss. Soon the God Of Comfort will bring an end to death and wipe away the tears from all faces, for this has been promised at Isaiah 25:8. We can also look forward to the marvelous hope brought out at Acts 24:15. There we see that those we have lost in death will be brought back to life, here on earth. I do hope you find comfort in this.
