
Elwood “Ed” D. Stoyer, Jr., 84, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Valley View Healthcare Center. He was born on December 14, 1930 in Coshocton, OH, the son of Elwood Stoyer, Sr. and Irene (Orvitz) Miller.
Ed served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He married Barbara Bennison on April 27, 1963 in Bellevue, OH and she survives.
Ed worked as a Machine Operator at Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, OH for thirty-five years and then worked in Maintenance at Bethany Place for ten years. He was a former member of the Fremont Eagles and Moose. Ed enjoyed golfing, bowling and spending time with his family.
Ed is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Barbara Stoyer, Fremont, OH; children, Patricia Sherer, Fremont, OH and Jeff (Annie) Stoyer, San Antonio, TX; sister, Cathy (Russ. Jr.) Sheerin, Ottawa Hills, OH; grandchildren, Kaylee Sherer, Marc Stoyer and Valerie Stoyer; great grandson, Luke Bond.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Fran Beacher.
Private burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens for the family.
