Chris and I always enjoyed visiting Gary at his parent’s farm. Eldon always welcomed us with a warm hug and a big smile. He made a person happy just being around him. He was a great conversationalist and we enjoyed time spent with him and his beautiful wife Kate. Eldon kept everyone talking and Kate kept everyone supplied with her delicious food. They also raised four wonderful children who carry on those same traits and traditions. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I’m so sorry I could not accompany Gary to Ohio at this time as I was entertaining family visiting Alaska for their first time. My thoughts and prayers are with Kate and the rest of the family at this time. The first time I met Eldon, he reminded me of my Dad who passed in 1988. I will cherish always the times visiting the farm since meeting Gary in 2000. It took me back to my roots growing up in Waterford woods in Wisconsin. Eldon was a great man and I wish I had met him sooner so I could have seen that side of him. And Kate is a lovely woman both in body and soul.
