
Elder James D. Richey, 57, of Fremont, OH went to be with his Lord on Monday, February 23, 2015 at University of Cleveland Case Medical Center. He was born on July 22, 1957 in Toledo, OH, the son of W. Milton Richey, Jr. and Vivian Reid. He was a 1975 graduate of Sandusky High School and attended Ohio Business College where he received several certificates.
James married Lorean (Heidelburg) Richey on January 30, 2004 at Greater St. James Church of God in Christ and she survives. He was a Manager at Rent-A-Center for several years.
James loved the Lord. He was a member of Greater St. James Church of God in Christ where he was an Elder and Choir member. He enjoyed fishing and sports. James loved Cadillac’s and loved to dress up and wear suits. He also loved spending time with his wife, grandchildren and family. He loved his mother’s dog, Samson.
James is survived by his wife, Lorean Richey, Fremont, OH; children, Jasmine D. Jones and James Dean Jones both of Columbus, OH, Justin D. Jones, Sandusky, OH; step sons, Craig A. Daniels, Jr., Cincinnati, OH, and Cory A. (Jessica) Daniels, Fremont, OH; mother, Vivian Reid, Sandusky, OH; grandchildren, Nazjir D. Jones, Jazariah D. Jones and step granddaughter, Taelin Waka; sibling, Pastor Dennis (Geraldine) Richey, Sr., Ravenna Twp, OH; half siblings, Donnie Stower, Rea Johnson, Yondie Rogers, Terill Green, and Isaiah Adcook, all of Sandusky, OH, Tori Richey and Tasha Richey-Brazile both of Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, W. Milton Richey; half brother, Kyle Skelton and his grandparents.
Visitation: Saturday from Noon until 1:00 pm at Agape Love Ministries, 4013 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH.
Service: Saturday, February 28, 2015, 1:00 pm at the Church with Bishop Clifton Jones and Bishop Chester Trail officiating.
Burial: Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, OH
