
Edward A. Broski, 90, of Burgoon, OH passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Fremont ProMedica Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 8, 1927 in Castalia, OH to John Paul and Esther Ruth (Long) Broski.
Edward served in the US Army from March 1, 1946 to August 3, 1947 and received an Honorable discharge. He worked for Basic Refractories as a mill wright for over thirty years retiring in 1988. Edward was a Life Member of the VFW, the Moose, the Eagles and the American Legion. He enjoyed his beloved dog Blackie along with fishing and golfing.
Edward is survived by his loving companion, Carol Homler, Burgoon, OH, children, Edward Broski, Burgoon, OH, Greg Broski, Bettsville, OH, David (Dawn) Broski, Sandusky, OH, Lisa Broski, Bettsville, OH; siblings, John Broski and Carolyn Broski, both of Fremont, OH; twelve grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tim Broski; siblings, Betty Manahan, Eleanor Freeh, Shirley Jarrett and Gloria Rakay.
Visitation: Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Monday, March 12, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Certified Funeral Celebrant Susann Robitski Zimmerman.
Memorials can be made in his honor to the Humane Society of Sandusky County, 1315 N. River Rd, Fremont, OH 43420.
