Edna H. Eilrich
Edna H. Eilrich, 97, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. She was born August 25, 1918 in Fremont to Herman C. and Edith H. (Haubert) Eilrich. She was a 1937 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Edna worked at Union Carbide for over thirty-nine years and retired in 1980. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Edna volunteered for the Village House and at St. Ann’s cafeteria. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, knitting and tatting.
Edna is survived by her sister, Mary Schwartz, Fremont, OH; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard and Herman J. Eilrich.
Visitation: Tuesday from 6 – 8 pm with a Vigil at 7:30 pm and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:15 am at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 10:30 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1021 W. State St, Fremont, OH, with Fr. Michael Zacharias officiating.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH
Memorials: St. Ann Catholic Church or Hospice of ProMedica Memorial Hospital.
