Sanchez Edison

Edison “Eddie” M. Sanchez, 60, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. He was born on March 3, 1956 in Fremont, the son of Maximino and Catalina (Nieves) Sanchez. He was a 1976 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Eddie worked at H.J. Heinz Company for twenty-five years. He was currently working as a machine attendant at Fremont Plastics. Eddie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid Michigan fan and Chicago Bears fan. Eddie enjoyed family BBQ’s, playing pool and fishing. He loved to spend time with family and friends.

Eddie is survived by his children, Jacob (Christine) Sanchez, Colorado Springs, CO, Eva Sanchez and Gabriel Sanchez, Fremont, OH; step children, Stefany and Jesse Quillen; companion, Mari Rosas, all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Edgar (Betty) Sanchez, Fremont, OH, Frank Sanchez, Holland, OH, Carmen (Jeff) Good, Fremont, OH, Joey (Valerie) Sanchez, Columbus, OH; former wife, Theresa Sanchez, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Derrick, Meghan, Daniel and Morgan “Jennifer” Sanchez; step grandchildren, Domiana Cruz, Nevaeh and Lorenzo Theobold, Alayah and Gabriel Moreno, Jesse Quillen, Jr.; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tony Sanchez.

Visitation: Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Service: Saturday, at Noon at the funeral home with Fr. Nathan Bockrath officiating.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont

Memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the family.

    Dear Sanchez Family:
    My deepest condolences to you all. I worked with Eddie at FPP. He was one of the kindest people that I have ever met. He would come in every day with a smile, always say hello and tell me to have a good evening. Oh how I will miss that! He certainly made an impact on my life and I feel grateful to have known him.

    We always enjoyed Eddie’s smile and great personality, he was always the first to offer his help when needed. What a great loss it will not be the same to show up to the house and not see his smile.
