
Douglas C. McIntyre, 54, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was born on January 26, 1962 in Tiffin, OH, the son of Charles McIntyre and Geraldine (Schetter) Payne.
Doug married Tamera Farris on February 23, 1985 in Flat Rock OH and she survives. He worked as a Machine Attendant at Fremont Plastics for twenty-seven years. Doug enjoyed playing the guitar and drums and played in a group. He loved to listen to rock music, played darts, baseball, bowling and fishing. Doug was an avid NASCAR/ Jeff Gordon fan.
Doug is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Tamera McIntyre; children, Steven McIntyre, Ashley (Nathaniel) Stayton, all of Fremont, OH; father, Charles (Shirley) McIntyre, Inverness, FL; siblings, Nancy (Paul) Grover of Illinois, Debora (David) Gressman, Tiffin, OH, Michael (Cathy) Eschenbrenner, Bradner, OH, Cathy (Leonard) Steinbeigle, Chicago, IL, Diane Claar, Fremont, OH, David (Jena) Eschenbrenner, California, MD, Matthew (Sarah) McIntyre, Tiffin, OH; mother-in-law, Jannette Farris, Republic, OH, sister-in-law, Cindy (Scott) Work and brother-in-law, Dave (Becky) Farris both of Tiffin, OH; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Payne; father-in-law, Nelson “Dave” Farris.
Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 2 – 4 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
A Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home with James Andrews officiating.
