
Dorothy Jean Cleveland, 89, of Green Springs, OH passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Valley View Healthcare Center. She was born on January 31, 1927 in Tiffin, OH, the daughter of William and Emma (Workley) Baxter, Sr. She was a graduate of Old Fort High School.
Jean married Arden Cleveland on November 10, 1944 in Tiffin and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2008. She was a Homemaker and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Green Springs. Jean was a good cook and loved spending time with her family. She loved to travel to see her family and visit Amish country. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Jean is survived by her children, Peggy (Dean) Dorr, Fremont, OH, Sharon (Richard) Ball, Larry (Susan) Cleveland, Gary (Sandra) Cleveland, all of Green Springs, OH, Kelli (Michael) Wells, Bowling Green, OH; siblings Margaret Shellhammer, Tiffin, OH, William Baxter, Jr., Fostoria, OH; grandchildren, Gregory (Julianna) Dorr, Douglas (Kate) Dorr, Noah Ball, Ancil Ball, Rebecca (Del) Bartlett, Tony Cleveland, Ed (Bethany) Cleveland and Parker Rutherford; great grandchildren, Zachary and Hailey Dorr, Bennett and Evelyn Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arden Cleveland; siblings, Robert Baxter and Bernice Gottfried.
Private services will be held.
