
Dorothy J. (Mohler) Baumann, 96, of Fremont, OH passed away on November 7, 2021 at Elmwood Communities of Fremont. She was born on September 22, 1925 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Charles and Helen (Witt) Mohler. She was a 1943 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and attended Bowling Green State University. Dorothy married Albert Vogt Baumann III on June 8, 1946 in Fremont. They were married for sixty-two years until his passing on October 29, 2008.
Dorothy was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. She was also a longtime docent and avid supporter of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center. She was a member of the Fremont Country Club and Catawba Island Club. Dorothy and Al wintered in Naples, FL for twenty-five years and were members of Foxfire Country Club. She also spoke fondly of the summers she spent with her family as a child at their cottage in Lakeside.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Albert Vogt Baumann IV “Buck” and his wife Laura; grandchildren, Brooke (Matt) Wytiaz and Albert Vogt Baumann V.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Baumann; daughter, Ruth Ann Baumann and brother, Charles Richard Mohler.
The funeral ceremony will take place on Monday, November 15, 2021; 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 120 S Park Ave, Fremont, OH. The family will greet guests from 10 to 11 am at the church.
