
Donita Hudgies, 68, of Fremont, OH passed away at her daughter’s home in Fremont on Saturday, August 15, 2020. She was born on August 29, 1951 in Laurel, MS to Howard and Maudie (Jones) Wolverton.
Donita married Ronald Hudgies in 1964 and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2006. She worked at Reino Laundry in Gibsonburg, OH and previously worked for Ellisville State School in Laurel, MS.
Donita was a member of Ebenezer Church of God in Christ where she was an Usher and sang in the choir. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, cleaning, church gospel music and was a majorette at Oak Park High School in Laurel, MS.
Donita is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Marcus) Cobbins and Tiffany (Ikeya Brown) Hudgies both of Fremont, OH; siblings, Harold Wolverton, Las Vegas, NV, Robert Wolverton, Fremont, OH, Willie Wolverton, Fayetteville, NC, Beatrice Philips and Barbara Chapman both of Fremont, OH, Earl Wolverton of Mississippi and Hattie Smith, Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Kiara and Raven Hudgies, Shebria Windham, Marquan and Marlaysia Cobbins, Josiah Hudgies and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Hudgies; brothers, Howard, James, William and Jerome Wolverton.
Visitation: Saturday from 11:00 am until Noon at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ, 601 Bidwell Ave, Fremont, OH 43420
Service: Saturday, August 22, 2020, Noon at the church with Pastor C.J. Burel officiating.
