We were so saddened to hear about Aunt Dolores! We loved her happy-go-lucky spirit! She always brought joy to everyone! One of memories of her was when she worked in the cafeteria at St. Mary’s in Clyde. The first time she offered me, the teacher, peas for my lunch, I told her, “No, thank you! I don’t like peas.” Then I made the mistake of telling her that when I was growing up and we didn’t like the vegetable at supper, we had to at least eat the amount of our age. If you were 10, you got ten peas. So she’d ask me every time, how many today? Then she’d put a few on my plate. On the days when there were no peas on the day she helped in the cafeteria, she’d say, Oh, that’s too bad; there are no peas today!” Know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers!
Love from Debbie and Scott Wilfong
