I am Dianne’s sister, Kris. Growing up with her, I know first hand how strong Dianne was. She was strong in character, for sure, but she was also physically strong. She used to arm wrestle our boyfriends, and she always won. When I think of her, I will always smile.

Over the years going back 50+, every time I think of Diane I always picture her playing that big tuba in the band at Riverdale. She did a lot of marching with that thing. Boy, could she march. We all did. Good times.

Dick and all the family,
We were so shocked and saddened to learn that our dear friend and classmate is gone from this earth.
We loved her. Oh, yes…the memories… of growing up in school together at Mt. Blanchard and Riverdale. What fun we had. Also, I remember her being on the Homecoming Court at Mt. Blanchard one summer. What a beauty she was and that smile lit up the village! I remember her playing that tuba in band, and one time, her jaw locked. That was not funny at the time….but when it was “unlocked”, she could laugh over the ordeal. That is just how Dianne lived life. To the fullest. I (Jean) remember the sleepovers at her house…..where we would have such fun, get “lost in the crowd” and giggle ourselves to sleep…and wake up to Freda’s delicious freshly made homemade bread, shaped with each of the guest and family’s initial, lying on our plate! Dianne was so much like her Mom. Talented, fun, and loved her family and friends so much. A hard worker. I could go on and on. She will be missed. We were privileged to have been a part of her life these 64 years. God bless you all and we extend our sympathy and we share our sorrow with you all.
