Delores “Dorie” L. Valentine, 82, formerly of Antioch, IL, passed away on October 30, 2022 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont, OH. She was born on September 15, 1940 in Witt, IL the daughter of Marion and Margaret (Summers) Rowley. Dorie married Charles Valentine and he passed away in June of 1995. She was a secretary at Lake Forest Hospital until she retired. Dorie loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a baseball fan and loved her dog, Cookie.
Dorie is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Mike) Christiansen, Fremont and Bernice (Chris) Giebelhaus, Inverness, IL; grandchildren, Karlie (Stephen) Bruns, Michael “Mikey” Christiansen, Jr., Josh and Brynn Giebelhaus; great-grandson, Barrett “Bear” Bruns; sister-in-law, Thora “Billie” Rowley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Charles “Chucky” Valentine, Jr. and brother, Robert Rowley.
It was her wish to have no services at this time.
